2013 was a tremendous year for Frest Photography. We are so very grateful to have documented many spectacular weddings in Maryland: Baltimore, Annapolis, Kent Island, and even my home town of Sacramento, California! “Thank you” a million times over to our wonderful clients, the truly talented, amazing & supportive community of wedding vendors in Maryland, our friends, neighbors, and our families for making this business thrive. While we look forward to 2014 and the new opportunities it will bring, we are so thrilled to look back at some of the great moments we were able to capture from these very special and personal wedding celebrations. Cheers and a very Happy New Year to all of you!
Sometimes you just get lucky…awesome couple, hilarious family & friends, and perfect weather in November! Stephanie & Nick’s wedding day was fabulous and everything went amazingly smooth (for a Friday evening wedding around Baltimore’s Inner Harbor). The stunning Bride and smashing Groom pledged their vows at the absolutely gorgeous Christ Lutheran Church, officiated by the very kind and compassionate Reverend Amsalu Geleta. Many thanks to all the ‘behind the scenes’ cast of Happily Ever After LLC & Bridal Hair Design for the perfect hair & makeup for the Bride & her ladies, Wessel’s Florist for the beautiful bouquets, DJ Chris at C&J Entertainment for keeping everyone on their toes at the reception, family friend Mary Elliot for the fantastic cakes (note the NFL rivalry in the family…ahem), Always & Forever Video, Edward Goode & his amazing staff at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, and last but not least, the Father of the Bride, Rick for wrangling the Baltimore City Fire Department Truck 6! On this eve of Thanksgiving, we are all thankful and grateful for the Bride & Groom, and their families, many of whom have dedicated their lives to serving and keeping Maryland safe & well. Congratulations to Stephanie & Nick on their unity! There is no doubt in my mind their lives together will be one non-stop adventure!
An amazing August day complete with thunderstorms, hail, and lightning gave way to an absolutely lovely evening with the happy couple, their family, and closest friends. Though this sweet couple was married earlier in the year in Jamaica (wish I could have been there), their reception was complete with fantastic time honored traditions. Many thanks to Rosanna Harrison and the incredible staff at Silver Swan Bayside on Kent Island, DJ Steve Moody of Steve Moody’s Entertainment Connection, and SugarBakers Cakes for the incredibly beautiful and tasty wedding cakes. Congratulations to Petia and James and may their lives together be forever filled with bliss!
Congratulations to Christine and Mischa on their tying the knot on a rainy, though ravishing wedding day! The stunning couple were wed at the beautiful St. Augustine Church in Elkridge and then partied down at the excellent BWI Marriott. Many thanks to the following folks for the ‘behind the scenes ‘ success of the big day: Ashley and Beth of Up Dos for I Dos for the (as always) spectacular job of hair and make up for the gorgeous bride and her lovely ladies, Flowers by Judy for the perfect bouquets, Mischa’s brother Jascha for the intricately incredible origami flowers, Father John Williamson for ceremony officiating, Limos-Inc. for safe and fun transportation, Kupcakes & Company for the charming and yummy desserts, Ken and Gordon of Absolute Entertainment for their fabulous DJ expertise, the great staff of the Marriott, and the groom, Mischa for the super awesomely cool idea of nerf guns & holsters for his groomsmen! Cheers to Chrissy & Mischa! May your lives together be filled with love and laughter!
Congratulations to Jen & Matt on their amazing wedding day at the always lovely Kent Manor Inn. Brian & I had a blast photographing this sweet couple for their day of celebration and pledging their love and lives to each other. Many thanks to Danielle and the fantastic staff at the Kent Manor Inn, Angie from Tangles Salon for enhancing an already perfect bride and her gals, Sandy’s Flowers for the beautiful bouquets, Mary Tankersley for officiating their heartfelt ceremony, Peace of Cake for the incredible deliciousness, and DJ Paul Parrinello for his music expertise. Cheers to Jen & Matt! May their lives be filled with laughter and joy for many decades to come!
Congratulations to Bonnie & Santiago on their fantastic wedding! Though the weather was chilly and damp, the rain let up just enough for us to capture the charm of historic Annapolis with the truly gorgeous & marvelous couple and their wedding party. They pledged their love and commitment to each other, celebrated, and danced the night away at the lovely Governor Calvert House. Many thanks to Michelle Vellon and the fab crew at the Governor Calvert House, Jill Sherrard for the best hair & make up, York Flowers for the pretty bouquets, The Rev. Daniel Kane for officiating the heartfelt (and multilingual) ceremony, Fiona’s Cakes for the pretty & yummy desserts, Andrew Boon for the super fun Photobooth, and Carl at C&J Entertainment for keeping the party hot! Cheers & Salud to Bonnie & Santiago! May their lives be filled with love, laughter, and adventures around the world!
It was a snappy but sunny day in the capital of the Free State. I had a blast with the newly engaged Stephanie & Nick, even showed them some charming places in Annapolis, that these (mostly) Maryland natives had yet to see. Congratulations to Stephanie & Nick on their betrothal and we are looking forward to their epic wedding day in November!
Though it was a chilly day in Charm City, we had the pleasure and the priviledge of photographing Shannon & Ed’s lovely day of commitment, merriment, sonatas, and sonnets. The stunning bride wore a gorgeous Amethyst gown, the handsome groom, a good-looking grey suit. Their wedding ceremony was held at the truly spectacular St. Alphonsus Church with the wonderful Reverend William Spacek presiding. If you love historical churches, St. Alphonsus, built in 1845, is a must see. Their reception was held at the excellent Hotel Monaco Baltimore (another fabulous place for historical architecture). Many thanks to the couple’s friend, Rev. Spacek, the catering staff at the Hotel Monaco, the St. Charles String Quartet for the superb sounds, Crimson & Clover for the bouquets, Sheryl (the Bride’s MOH) for the amazing wedding cake, and all the guests for cooperating for the epic group portrait along the hotel’s marble staircase! Congratulations to Ed & Shannon! May your lives together be filled with love, laughter, and lyrics.
